Boat & Kayak Hire

Hire Boats and Kayaks are now available

The APYAC has 3 hire boats and 2 hire kayaks available.

The boats are all 4 metre Quintrex Dart Aluminium Hulls powered by 20HP Mercury engine.

Each boat comes fully equipped with petrol and the required safety gear for 3 people (2 x Xtra Large and 1 x small size lifejackets).

The boats are registered to take maximum 4 people. BYO fishing gear and esky. $50 per hire or $200 for 5 hires.

The Kayaks are Hobie Mirage Passport 12 Fishing Kayaks they have powerful pedal propulsion with the new Kick Up Glide Tech Mirage drive, a raised breathable mesh seat and a wider cockpit area with EVA floor padding to provide a stable platform for standing and stretching your legs. Each kayak comes with an adjustable life jacket. $30 per hire or $120 for 5 hires

On APYAC fishing competition days, boat & kayak hire will be prioritised to competitors ahead of casual hire.

In order to hire a boat members need to:

1. Register as a Hirer (one-off process)
Email the following information to admin@apyac.org.au:

• Copy/scan of a valid marine licence (both sides), incl. date of birth proving you are 18yo or older. (not required for kayaks)
• A signed copy of the Risk Waiver HERE
• Date of your completed induction. required for both Boats & Kayaks.

Inductions for the launching and retrieving of APYAC Hire Boats & Kayaks are by appointment. Inductions are conducted by APYAC designated members (allow 2 hours).

2.    Book a Boat or Kayak (for each booking)
Fill the APYAC Boat Hire Agreement below and submit Or Download the APYAC Boat Hire Agreement HERE and email to admin@apyac.org.au. (Please note a marine licence is not required for Kayak hire)

Payment can be done via Credit Card by calling the club during office hours or at the bar. Annual ‘House levy’ can be used for hire.

Upon completion and payment, you will receive:

• Email confirmation of your booking;
• The Hire Boat’s Registration Number or kayak number; and
• FOB access for the day.

3.    Fees
$50 Boats per hire (if you would like to organise $200 for 5 hires please purchase at the bar during club hours.)
$30 Kayaks per hire (if you would like to organise $120 for 5 hires please please purchase at the bar during club hours.)

Bookings need to be made 48 hours prior to the day of hire.
