COVID-19 MEMBER UPDATE

The Victorian Premier has announced that the easing of restrictions for clubs and pubs due to come into effect from 11.59 Sunday June 21, would now be deferred.

It means APYAC will all stay at a maximum of 32 people split between the Main Hall & Langdon Room, based on the 4 square metre and 1.5 metre rules until 12 July.

APYAC club hours & operations will now be:

June 25th  Onwards

Maximum 32 members allowed in the club at one time.

Office availability

• No members allowed to enter office due to social distancing requirements

• Members are requested to make enquiries via email or phone wherever possible

• Payment of fees will be either by B Pay, Members Portal or return email enclosing cheque or credit card details, not cash.


Club Member Meals Operation

The health and safety of our members and employees is, and always has been our highest priority. Our new member dining policy brings together several new and existing wellbeing measures to give members peace of mind when booking a table for a meal at the club, while complying with COVID-19, Victorian Government Club Operations guidelines. These include:

Table Booking Procedures – Meal & Drink Service

1) Table bookings will only be accepted via email and sent to This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it..

2) Each email must include, name, and phone number for each person attending

3) Each booking to be made a minimum of 24 hours in advance.

4) Failure to attend will incur a $50 non-cancellation fee.

5) Maximum booking per table 6

6) No member entry to the club without a prior meal table booking

7) Social distancing required throughout the club

8) No member to attend club if unwell or, displaying any cold or flu systems

9) No bar service, wine and beer will be ordered from and, served at the table


Meal Service
1. reduced Menu offering of 7 main courses, including 3 daily specials
2. ordered at Bistro, with social distancing required
3. credit card or member credit card/fob payment paid at end of the meal service
4. meal orders will be brought to the table by staff
5. staff will clear tables
6. all condiments will be supplied in small packets
7. cutlery will be brought to the table by staff
8. bread rolls will be included with meals if requested
9. coffee & tea must be ordered through staff, no self-service

Social distancing required throughout the club


Required COVID-19 changes to Club Dining Areas, include:
  1. increased physical distancing,
  2. sanitising stations
  3. enhanced daily disinfection of surfaces and

• Regular enhanced disinfection and cleaning of high contact areas throughout the club during meal service.
• All staff will have their temperature checked prior to starting work and each shift.
• No staff member may come to work sick, if so, will be immediately sent home.
• Members may be subject to temperature checks
• Sanitising wipes given to all members to wipe down seats, and tables if preferred.
• Simplified service and catering to minimise touchpoints for staff and members.
• Members asked to limit movement around the club, once seated.
• Our staff are trained to follow strict personal hygiene protocols

Club to be cleaned, as required, by staff during lunch and dinner service

The revised club table configuration and, walkthrough areas, fully comply with 1.5 metre social distancing requirements.


Given the club will be operating in a new and totally untried way, we will make every effort to make the club available to as many members as possible within the strict 1.5 metre social and, 4 square metre distancing requirements.

Should further State or Federal government COVID-19 guidelines change then, the club will immediately advise members on any necessary changes.

 

APYAC - RETURN TO FISHING GUIDANCE REQUIREMENTS


This guidance and template have been developed to assist State Sporting Associations (SSAs), National Sporting Organisations (NSO’s) and peak sport and recreation bodies prepare a Return to Play plan.

Return to Play plans can be adopted and implemented by leagues, associations and clubs.

The Victorian Chief Health Officer has approved the resumption of community sport and recreation activities according to the following rules:

1. No indoor activity – indoor physical recreation facilities must remain closed.

2. Maintain physical distancing of 1.5 metres wherever reasonably possible.

3. Activity and training must be non-contact, and no competitions are to take place. Contact sports must be modified so that you can maintain 1.5m distance.

4. No use of communal facilities, except for toilets.

5. Shared equipment that touches the head or face, or cannot be effectively cleaned, should not be used, i.e. soft materials, helmets or clothing.

6. Hand hygiene, frequent environmental cleaning & disinfection, use of own equipment where possible, and minimise sharing of equipment.

7. Health and COVID-19 signs have been put up throughout club and Boathouse.

8. Only Boat Owners and members may take out individual boats, maximum of four people per boat.

9. Entry to Boathouse is by Boat Owner key or card only.

10. Only Boat Owners may use their boat.

11. Each fisherman will use a dedicated fishing rod for the duration of the activity, which should be disinfected before being put away, or used by someone else.

12. Members may only use their own boats.

13. No club boat hire.

14. No fisherman or Boat Owner is allowed to socialise before, or after, taking their boat out to fish from the clubhouse.

15. Security camera checks will be carried out each day to see if all of the above requirements are being adhered-to.

16. Anyone attending Boathouse who is sick will be sent home immediately with the request that they get tested for COVID-19.
